Hi,
My Haier LE24B8000T TV suddenly stopped working.
What caused it could a misconfigured universal remote as the problem occurred while pressing a button.
Anyway, now the TV seems to refuse to boot properly.
Symptoms :
On switching on, the red led blinks two times, the Haier logo screen appears 1s, then the screen goes black (but is still backlit) for a few seconds. The tv doesn't respond to anything, including the menu or source button. Then it shuts down in sleep state.
Interpretation :
The hardware seems fine, i have been looking at the pcb for some grilled component, but found none. Since it appended on using a remote and the logo screen shows, I suppose it is a software problem.
I have been investigating what to do, but no solution was found.
Most propositions imply to reach the menu, obviously impossible for me.
The TV's got some buttons beneath the screen ; Some combination of long-pressed buttons at startup should command factory reset. Either the reset didn't trigger or it was not sufficient. I tried power+volume -; power only; didn't try every combination (with 7 buttons, that's a lot a tries).
I wish I could update firmware, but again, navigating the unreachable menu looks unavoidable to do it.
Despite being ten years old, it was working fine until now, i wish it could last for another 10 y…
I suppose there is a simple solution, but I can't find it anywhere. I will gladly try any idea that would come out.
