i have my sisters a hp printer the hp envy 5055 and i just can't seem to be able to locate the ink cartridges. the ones i have in it are the 65xl i do not have the color one but the pins seem to look the same. anyway she sent away 3 times for ink and they send her the 65xl cartridges but they do not work. they seem to fit but the pinout is not even close. i went to hp and entered the hp envy 5055 and it came back error. so i'm asking wrong or it is to old for hp to cerry ink anymore. when i figure out how to post a photo i will of mayb do dropbox.

the ink is the 65xl the number on the cartridge is 7y8214 on the ribbon pins the mpn is n9k04anpht3 the unit s# is th97c9hoht the fpu# is m2u85-64001 she got what they said was the correct cartridges but they had way mor pins on the ribbon and when i compared them side by side the did not even look like any of them would actually touch the contacts on the printer.

so if this is the correct place to post thanks if not maybe someone might move it to a goo section. or maybe if this is not the correct forum maybe someone can better direct me to a forum that can help. thanks much

i do not know but when i went to hp and entered that model it came back error. i did find a site called 123 inkjets and asked them if they might have cartridges or if i can send them the pinout side to see if they may have that pinout. thanks

Well, its an older printer, so probably won't be front and center on their site.

that is kind of what i figured. that 123inks place asked me for the printer numbers and cartridge photos to see if they may have one. i think if i do find a set i may look for those kits that let you put the ink in a large container and just refill that container as it empties. i had that system one time on and older printer and it worked good. but i'm kind of think it may be just to old to bother with. thanks
